SEAN ALAN EDWARDS

Sean Alan Edwards is a 53-year-old steelworker from Llanmartin, Newport. He didn’t start writing until he was involved in a bicycle accident at the age of 35.

From that moment on words just seemed to flow naturally.

He was commissioned to write a poem for an FA Cup match between Newport County v Tottenham Hotspurs, which was narrated by the great Michael Sheen. Sean is married to the lovely Michelle and is a proud father to Iwan & Rhian.

Most of Sean's inspiration comes from his homeland of  Wales. His poetry is humorous, emotional, sometimes quirky, and very enjoyable to read.

Although a well-recognised poet in Wales, Mostyn and the Dragon is Sean’s first venture into writing a poetry format for a children’s picture book.
